NEST Erlenmeyer flasks are ideal for microbial screening, large-scale fermentation, and suspension cell or bacterial cultures. They can also be used for media preparation, mixing, and storage. When equipped with a closed system, they ensure safe operations such as sampling and liquid transfer, minimizing contamination risks.
All flasks are electron beam sterilized and free of DNase/RNase, endotoxins, and cytotoxicity.
Material Highlights
-
PETG – High transparency, strong rigidity, and excellent chemical resistance; withstands temperatures as low as −80°C and collapses after autoclaving to reduce biohazard waste.
-
PC – Withstands up to 121°C; offers superior transparency, impact resistance, and UV stability.
-
PP – Durable, heat-resistant up to 121°C, and chemically stable.
-
PTFE Filter Membrane – Hydrophobic, bacteria-resistant, and highly breathable for efficient gas exchange.
Design Advantages
-
Flat-bottom design allows stable placement on shakers and reduces foam formation.
-
Baffled bottom enhances gas exchange and oxygen transfer but is not recommended for shear-sensitive cells.
-
High-efficiency flasks feature extended necks to reduce contamination risk, optimized bottoms for better space utilization, and optional handles for easy handling.
-
Sealed and breathable caps (0.22 μm PTFE membrane) and silicone gaskets ensure excellent sealing performance.
-
Transparent bottle body with clear graduations allows easy observation of cultures.
Comprehensive Specifications
Available in 125 mL to 5 L capacities, with options for conical or high-efficiency flasks. Baffled and non-baffled versions are available, and caps can be purchased separately.
Packaging
Each flask is individually packaged, labeled with batch number and expiry date for traceability. High-efficiency types feature double-layer GMP-compliant packaging.
Validation & Quality Control
Every batch undergoes strict validation—including design verification, process validation, and performance testing—to ensure consistent quality and reliability. Routine batch testing and periodic monitoring maintain long-term product stability.
Closed System Option
All specifications can be pre-assembled with customizable closed systems for sterile liquid transfer in large-scale suspension cell or microbial culture. Multiple tubing materials, connectors, and filters are available to meet diverse application needs.
